Hockey Canada Body-Checking Rule Change (ages 11 & 12)

Starting in 2013-14, there will be no bodychecking at the minor peewee (age 11) or peewee (age 12) levels for all leagues governed by Hockey Canada.

Hockey Canada’s board of directors voted to eliminate bodychecking for peewee players at its annual general meeting in Charlottetown on Saturday May 25, 2013.

The new rule does apply to SWHA Peewee teams (age 12) who were allowed to bodycheck last year.
