​ Miscellaneous Fees

​ Important Notice

Please note that standard registration fees only cover:

• Preseason sessions
• League games

During the season, additional team-level costs will arise to cover:

• Practice ice time
• Tournament entry fees
• Team windups and social events

We recommend that parents budget an additional $600–$1,000 per player, depending on age and level of play.

​ Fee Details & Policies

[1] NSF Cheque Fee

If a cheque is returned due to Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF):

• A $25 penalty will be charged
• Future payments must be made by money order or credit card
• Cheque privileges are suspended until reinstated by the Board (upon written request)
• Players will not be allowed on ice until fees are fully paid

[2] Refund Processing Fee

• All refunds must be approved by the SWHA Registrar and/or Board of Directors
• A minimum $20 processing fee applies to all refunds
• Credit card refunds: Processed within 7 days
• Cheque refunds: Up to 3 weeks (require 2 executive signatures)

[3] Community Club Fee

• A $60 per player Participation Fee helps support local community centre facilities
• Collected by SWHA and forwarded to your home community centre
• Non-refundable unless the player advances to:

                 AAA programs
                 High School hockey

This is not a hockey program fee

[4] Preseason & Tryout Session Fees

If a player withdraws, refunds will consider any ice time used for:

• Preseason skates
• Tryout sessions
• Scheduled games (even if not played)

[5] Late Registration Fee

• A $100 late fee applies to registrations after the deadline
• Does not apply to new players

[6] Final Refund Deadline

​ No refunds will be issued after December 31
